Yes, I made a podcast!
And I called it The Pants Quandary. 🤓
🎉New year, new podcast!🎉 Instead of starting a thing at the turn of the calendar, I'm introducing a thing. It feels like I made a "new year's resolution" back in the spring when I started working toward this goal. (Making The Pants Quandary has taken me about as long as gestating an entire infant human and then 💥BAM💥 the trailer popped into the world!) But in truth I think maybe I started this much longer ago without realizing it.
Years ago at a brilliant nerd conference for symphonic arts administrators and musicians I heard community builder/thinker/cellist Yo-Yo Ma, as a celebrated guest speaker, casually say into a microphone "I'm a slow learner". This was revelatory for me. It came as a fresh breeze bringing a sort of permission to let ideas take as long as they needed to germinate and take root before springing into the sunlight. 💡🌱🪷
I've been toying with the idea of making a podcast for years, making it for about nine months, and showing it to anyone for just a few days now. If there's a takeaway from this story for you I hope it's permission to make your 'Jan1' any day that works!🎉
Check out the trailer and let me know what you think! The first episode drops Jan 31, and then biweekly afterward. I'm absolutely gobsmacked that I've pulled this off and am excited to see it being sent into the world.

Mad props to Tiffany Valvo for helping me get this off the ground, to Jessica Mays for composing and mixing the theme music, to Susanna Klein, Sonya Stith Williams, and Jordan Gunn for recording it, and to Matthew Ward for creating the show art. THIS IS REAL AND IT IS HAPPENING. I CAN DO HARD THINGS AND SO CAN YOU!!🎉🎉
